Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how MyBrothersKeeper ("MBK," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use mybrotherskeeper.cc, our mobile apps, and related services (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
We design the Service to be free and advertising-supported. That means certain data practices support product functionality, safety, analytics, and advertising where permitted by law.
2. Information we collect
Account & profile: name or display name, email, age range or date of birth (where collected), password or SSO identifiers, profile photo, and preferences.
Fitness & wearable data: steps, heart rate, workouts, calories, sleep, recovery, and similar metrics synced from connected devices or health platforms you authorize (for example Apple Health / Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, Samsung, Whoop, Polar, and others).
Social & Snapchat: if you connect Snapchat, we may receive identifiers and profile information Snapchat shares with us, plus interaction data within MBK (crew membership, merit, league standing, shared activity snaps you choose to post).
Device & usage: IP address, device type, OS, app version, crash logs, approximate location (if permitted), cookies and similar technologies, and interaction events needed to operate and improve the Service.
Communications: support messages, surveys, and marketing preferences.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service;
- Sync wearable data and calculate streaks, points, merit, and leagues;
- Enable community, matching, and Snapchat-linked features you opt into;
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Measure performance and improve features (product analytics);
- Deliver and measure advertising (see Advertising below);
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
5. Advertising
Because MBK is ad-supported, we and our advertising partners may use identifiers, device information, and interest or activity signals to show relevant ads and measure effectiveness. Where required (for example in the EEA/UK), we rely on consent for non-essential advertising cookies and interest-based advertising. You may have choices under platforms such as Google Ads Settings, Apple App Tracking Transparency, or industry opt-outs where available.
We do not sell your precise health diagnoses. Wearable metrics may inform aggregated or inferred segments for product or ad measurement only as permitted by law and platform rules.
6. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, customer support, fraud prevention);
- Advertising and measurement partners (subject to this Policy);
- Other Members, when you share content, join crews, or appear on leaderboards;
- Third-party platforms you connect (subject to their policies);
- Professional advisors, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or financing;
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information for money in the traditional sense. In some U.S. states, "sale" or "sharing" can include certain advertising disclosures — you may exercise opt-out rights as described below.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. You may request deletion subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and device access.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain processing of your personal information; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of targeted advertising or certain profiling. Submit requests to privacy@mybrotherskeeper.cc. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests. You may also disconnect wearables or Snapchat in app settings.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing. EU/UK residents may have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
10. International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Material changes may be notified in-app or by email where appropriate.
